Irrigation Australia Ltd was founded in 2007, following the merger of ANCID and the Irrigation Association of Australia (IAA). From 1983 to 2007 IAA was the industry peak body for the Australian irrigation industry and IACID was the Australian representative of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID).
Irrigation Australia is an apolitical association and is Australia’s peak national organisation representing the Australian irrigation industry in all sectors from water users, consultants, designers and installers through to educational institutions, government, manufacturers and retailers.
Our national office is located in Brisbane, with a regional office in Perth. Additionally, we are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 91313), offering a diverse range of nationally accredited irrigation qualifications, workshops, and short courses.
To be the centre of excellence for efficient irrigation practices across the food and fibre production markets, leisure activity spaces and commercial activities to ensure the best use of our most precious resource.

To ensure every irrigation system across Australia meets best practice efficiency standard suitable to its application.
