This medium volume sprinkler line is suitable for versatile use in general field irrigation on solid-set and mechanized irrigation systems such as travelers. The Komet 163 and 162 sprinkler line shows great performance in windy conditions. Long wear life, high performance, proven design and maintenance-free operation are among its outstanding features.

The Komet 163 can operate part circle as well as full circle by easily adjusting the part circle stops. The Komet 162, with full circle operation, is designed for use in general field irrigation, mainly in extensive solid-set and moveable irrigation systems.

Sophisticated engineering ensures a uniform distribution pattern and consistent performance when reliability matters most.

As with all Komet large volume guns, the Trigon 112 undergoes meticulous quality control throughout the manufacturing process, including a fully pressurized water test of every single gun that leaves the factory floor.

    Impact Sprinklers

Going the distance with Komet’s high-quality irrigation guns

With its future-oriented product catalogue, Komet covers the full spectrum of irrigation requirements – be it in the form of its flagship models such as the ultra-durable KPT and ingenious KPW with oscillating deflector, its high-quality, part-circle sprinklers with optimized droplet size, its effective LEPA / LESA solutions, or its high-quality pivot accessories. Of course, the family-owned company – whose production site and headquarters are located in Central Europe – also provides ambitious growers with a well-thought-out range of long-distance impact sprinklers.

Impact sprinklers are designed to operate at comparatively high pressures, distributing water over larger areas via a moving stream. In addition to its line-up of powerful high-volume guns, Komet currently offers the following selection of medium to low-volume irrigation guns: the KOMET 162 and KOMET 163 (both with a throw range of 64 – 113 ft); the KOMET R8 (46 – 85 ft); the KOMET F41 (45 – 70 ft); and the KOMET F41-2 – which offers the same throw as the F41, but is designed for higher flow rates (7 – 26 gpm). As with all Komet products, the company’s impact sprinklers are manufactured in Austria, using a combination of state-of-the-art machinery, highly trained staff, and meticulous quality checks.

Long Distance Sprinklers Made to Last: An overview of Komet’s sprinkler gun line-up

The KOMET 162 ‪is a medium-volume‬ impact ‪sprinkler  ‪with full-circle operation, designed for general field irrigation – particularly in large solid-set and movable irrigation systems. ‬

Its sister model, the KOMET 163, features the same range specifications, but is able to switch between full and part-circle operation. This feature not only adds to the irrigation gun’s flexibility, but is also an excellent solution in scenarios where the wetted area must not extend beyond the borders of the field.

With the KOMET R8, the company is offering a medium to low-volume impact ‪sprinkler‬ with full-circle operation. KOMET R8 long distance sprinklers are designed for solid-set systems, and cover a variety of field irrigation uses.

The KOMET F41 is available in two variations: as a single-jet sprinkler (F41), or ‪a double-jet sprinkler‬ (F‪41-2‬). Both impact ‪sprinkler‬s are designed for full-circle operation.

‪What all of Komet’s ‬impact ‪sprinkler‬s ‪ have in common, is their maintenance-free operation ‬and ‪remarkably long product lifespan. They also embody the same key traits attributed to the brand’s‬ high-volume guns. For example, the distribution pattern of Komet’s long distance sprinklers is distinguished by an outstanding level of uniformity – arguably the most vital aspect of successful irrigation. Thanks to their hydraulic design, Komet‪’s ‬impact ‪sprinkler‬s deliver an optimal throw, as the water reaches the nozzle with the least possible turbulences and pressure losses.

Furthermore, all long-distance sprinklers in Komet’s product portfolio are highly cost-effective – both due to their efficient use of natural resources, and their long product lifespan. This ties in with the fourth advantage that sets Komet’s sprinkler gun line-up apart from similar products on the market: maximum reliability – achieved by the company’s exceedingly high standards when it comes to choosing premium-quality materials, along with strict quality controls throughout the manufacturing process.

Last but not least, Komet’s irrigation guns offer a high degree of adaptability: just like their high-volume counterparts, Komet’s medium-volume impact sprinklers have been specifically designed to cover a broad range of irrigation requirements – both on the strength of their own adaptability, and on the basis of series-internal combinations (for example, some growers might choose to strategically place one or several KOMET 163 long distance sprinklers on a system equipped with KOMET 162 models, in order to benefit from the 163’s half-circle option wherever it is needed).

The Komet Team has invested years of research, development and testing in creating innovative products that are tailored to their customers’ real-life needs. The result is a remarkable range of high-end sprinkler guns designed to deliver optimal results – in any irrigation scenario.
